Jonathan is a successful investor, entrepreneur and executive who has founded, invested in and run companies in retail and restaurant services, e-commerce, apparel, technology and telecommunications. He co-founded and is currently managing Contenders Clothing, a men’s active lifestyle licensed apparel company which has been successful in acquiring premier licenses for the company, including those from WWE and Rocky and Creed from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM).
Previously, Jonathan was a co-founder and President of Bungalow Clothing, one of the largest stylist-led women’s ecommerce fashion companies. There, he oversaw company divisions and helped secure both Series A and Seed rounds of capital. Under his leadership, Jonathan grew sales by 450% with customer shipments increasing by over 1,000% while minimizing overall company operating expenses.
Prior to Bungalow, Jonathan was the President, COO and CFO of Fine Properties, a diversified $100 million investment company with operating divisions in quick service and fast casual restaurants and gaming. Jonathan was also CEO, President and a member of the Board of Directors of KeyOn Communications, a publicly-traded wireless communications and voice-over-IP (VoIP) company serving rural and underserved markets. He managed KeyOn from business plan phase to a to become the country’s largest wireless broadband companies with a network footprint spanning 65,000 square miles covering close to 3 million people and small businesses.
In 2001, Jonathan co-founded and became Chairman of the Board of a specialty IT services provider, which was sold to an IT services aggregator in 2005. Prior to Transistor 8, Jonathan co-founded and was Vice President of Business Development for Lineup Technologies, a pioneering digital content distribution and aggregation platform backed by principals of Trust Company of the West (Societe Generale).
Early in his career, Jonathan was a private equity professional at Pacific Capital Group, a merchant bank owned by Gary Winnick. At Pacific Capital Group, Jonathan helped found and launch Global Crossing, where he assisted in the raising of over $2 billion of equity and debt capital for its IPO in 1999. Jonathan was also an investment professional at Rader, Reinfrank & Co., a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, and an investment banker at Bear, Stearns and Co. Inc. covering telecommunications.
Jonathan received an MBA at the Anderson School at UCLA, where he was selected as a Venture Fellow, and a BS in Economics with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jonathan lives in Las Vegas with his wife and 3 boys.
