Danny Meyer sent a shot across the bow of the hospitality industry when he eliminated tipping at his Union Square Hospitality Group.  It left many of us wondering if this change signaled the end of the tipped wage across the hospitality industry and, more importantly, in our own operations.  Does the last year provide any clues?

 

In this dynamic and informative session, Professor Brian Warrener of Johnson & Wales University will discuss what has been happening with tipping over the past year, findings from his own extensive and ongoing research on the topic, whether the tipped wage is likely to survive and ultimately what you should do about the whole mess!
