The key to this presentation will be the investments suppliers have made to improve the skill-sets and image of bartending over the past 15 years. The increased quality demands (and knowledge) of consumers will also be discussed as an example of how demand drives improvements. These themes will be highlighted in a trended, visual history of 'premiumization' in drinks and cocktails; which could not have occurred without the most important front-line player: the bartender. Takeaways will include what being an excellent bartender means, how training and education from suppliers will continue to advance careers in bartending and the importance of delivering the perfect experience, not just a drink.
