Meredith Vachon, co-founder of Bread & Butter Public Relations, was bred to love all things food and drink. Ever since her first raw oyster at the age of one, she’s explored the world one restaurant at a time. Professionally, she has spent 20 years working in the restaurant industry in various capacities including service, special events and public relations—all of which have made her the hospitality expert she is today. 

After serving as the Executive Director of the Restaurant Division of Wagstaff Worldwide PR in Los Angeles, she moved to Austin to put her talents to use in a burgeoning, yet largely untapped restaurant scene. Since B&B PR’s conception in 2007 with friend and partner Rachel Ayotte, Meredith’s client base has expanded nationwide, allowing her to further cultivate strong ties with some of the country’s top journalists while securing placements in A-list media outlets that not only generate a sustained buzz, but also directly impact her clients’ bottom line. She sets herself apart by not only being her clients’ consultant and PR principal, but their honest confidant and biggest fan. 


A proud Texan, she relishes her role in representing the vibrant and diverse food scenes in found throughout the state. When not working, she can usually be found in her kitchen developing new recipes and keeping her children Max and Eve, and husband Sam, well fed.
