Wally Rande is a hospitality educator and a food / beverage consultant who loves everything about beer.  He teaches food and beverage classes at the School of Hotel / Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona University and works with bars / restaurants/ and tap rooms in make their beer programs the best they can be!

Rande has a Doctoral degree from Northern Arizona University, a MBA from the University of Rhode Island, a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University, and an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. He has earned his Certified Beer Server Certificate from the Cicerone Certification program and is studying for his Certified Cicerone Certificate.

He spent the Spring / Summer 2016, touring and working in 57 breweries in four states while studying for his Cicerone Certification. He completed a brewery taproom ‘best practices’ study. To share his love and knowledge of beer, he has developed and delivers a ‘Craftbeer Camp’ for both consumers and bar / restaurant staff to increase their knowledge and appreciation of craft beer.

Rande resides with his wife, and a stubborn but lovable mutt, in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is available for consulting with bars, taprooms and restaurants to assist them in setting up and improving their craft beer program, as well as training programs for their staff, developing/ improving their  beer menus, and conducting consumer group tastings and beer education
